You know when it's a bad time to try to steal a case of beer and some
snacks from a convenience store? When there are four Sheriff's Deputies just feet away at the register. This
hard lesson was learned at around 4 a.m. yesterday by a 29-year-old man and a 19-year-old man who tried to
jack a La Mirada Chevron station of $18.76 worth of brew and munchies, according to an AP report published by the Daily News.
The OC
Register has surveillance footage of the attempted heist, with the two perps making a dash for the door, only
to be followed immediately by four uniformed OC Sheriff's Deputies, who, from an alternate angle of footage, can be
seen gathered at the register just steps from the store entrance. The two would-be beer burglars were arrested and
charged with burglary and petty theft.
